UK address for court service on respondent

If your spouse lives abroad, the court will initially serve the divorce papers on him or her at the address abroad. However, when they return the Acknowledgement of Service to the court, they will have to specify an address in England in order to comply with the court rules.
You may therefore need this service if your spouse does not have friends or relatives in England who would accept court documents for forwarding on to them.
We can provide an address for your spouse for the duration of the divorce (and for the purposes of the divorce only) for a maximum of 12 months.
