We receive a lot of enquiries from spouses where the divorce has already started but has stalled because of problems. We have set out the most common problems elsewhere on this website. For more information just click here. Many people do not realise that the divorce papers must follow a format which is pre-determined by the court. Typically, people contact us when they apply for the first divorce decree (the decree nisi) and the judge has rejected the case because of documentary or procedural defects. In these cases you need a trouble-shooter to identify what has gone wrong and advise on what needs to be done to get your divorce back on track.
What we provide and how we work
We will ask you for copies of all the paperwork either by fax or by email. Sometimes you may have to get copies from the court dealing with your divorce. We will then give you an assessment of what has gone wrong and our opinion on how it may be put right. The choice is then yours. You may decide to carry on with the divorce yourself or you may decide to use one of our divorce services.
Please remember that our support service is designed to help you with procedural matters in undefended divorces and does not include assistance with either disputed divorces, financial matters or disputed issues relating to children. just support will not cover the cost of preparation of any documents.
